Our affiliate ("Elf-filiate") program is for content producers, guide authors, reviewers, community builders, and creators with a meaningful audience who can introduce ElfHosted to new users.
Affiliate arrangements are approved case-by-case and agreed directly before promotion begins. We usually look for partners who publish useful, honest, practical content for a relevant audience, and who can send qualified users rather than coupon-hunters.
ElfHosted also continues to sponsor and support open-source developers whose projects are important to our users. Developer sponsorships are handled separately from the affiliate program, since self-service subscriptions and app switching make fixed per-subscription commission tracking unreliable. A good Elf-filiate applicant usually has:
- An established audience in a relevant niche
- Useful, honest, practical content
- A clear understanding of the apps, stacks, or self-hosting problems ElfHosted solves
- A plan to introduce qualified users, not just discount traffic
- A willingness to disclose the commercial relationship clearly
