What is Flex Pro?

Flex Pro is a subscription that runs 18 open source apps at once for $29 a month, chosen from the ElfHosted Flex collection. You pick the apps, we run them, and you swap what is running whenever you like.

How many apps can I run at once?

18. You can install as many as you like from the collection, but 18 run at a time. Switching one off immediately frees a slot for another.

Can I change which apps are running?

Yes, whenever you like, at no extra cost. Switching an app off does not delete any of its data and does not change your bill. Turn it back on later and everything is where you left it.

What apps can I choose from?

How is this different from buying one app on its own?

Most apps in the collection are also sold individually at $9 a month. Flex Pro is better value if you want more than one, and it lets you try apps without committing to a separate subscription for each. If you only ever want one specific app, buying it on its own is the simpler choice.

Do I need my own server?

No. There is no VPS to rent, no Docker to configure, no reverse proxy, no certificates to renew and no upgrades to chase. Every app gets HTTPS on your own subdomain, single sign on through your ElfHosted account, nightly backups into your own backup volume, health monitoring and updates applied for you.

What does ElfHosted handle, and what do I handle?

We keep your apps running, health checked, backed up and updated. These are upstream open source applications we deploy rather than software we write, so the finer detail of using them is yours, with our documentation, our AI assistant Sam, and an active Discord community to help. Apps we build and operate ourselves are supported in depth and sold separately.
