Recently, to further protect and enhance our Discord community, we've done away with manual "verification" on joining, and implemented a polished account linking system - your active ElfHosted subscription gets you access to the privileged community channels in the ElfHosted Discord server.
If you're not already in Discord with us, you're missing out on a lot - our routine service announcements, daily changelogs, the opportunity to have your say in current and future services, and general friendliness and camaraderie. Our Discord server is carefully moderated, and governed by a strict code of professional conduct - it's not the place for narcissistic "free speech absolutists" and sh*tposting, but it is the best place to connect with fellow Elfies and developers to discuss your ElfHosted stacks!

What use is Discord?
You might be thinking, "what use is Discord? I get email announcements of blog posts, isn't that enough?"
Well, yes, we blog about important updates, but there are less-important-but-still-good-to-know updates which are only announced in the #elf-announce channel (so as not to be spammy), daily change logs for #elf-glowup, automated status updates in #elf-status, and importantly, an opportunity to connect directly with app developers and fellow users in the various app-specific channels.

We love hearing about how our users "found" us, and we've started collecting "origin stories".
