What is the Immich Wizard?
A one-time, white-glove configuration of Immich on ElfHosted. You supply the remote storage backend you want to use (your own S3-compatible bucket, OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, WebDAV, etc.); an ElfVenger mounts it, configures Immich users and library paths to your spec, and validates uploads end-to-end. After hand-off, the stack is yours.
What we'll configure (using what you provide)
- ☁️ Mount of the storage backend you supply — optionally layered with rclone crypt for at-rest encryption.
- 👤 Initial admin user and additional household accounts you specify.
- 🗂️ Library paths and external library configuration to match your folder layout.
- 📱 Mobile app onboarding guidance (iOS / Android).
- 🤖 Validated machine-learning features (face recognition, smart search).
- 🧪 End-to-end upload + sync test before hand-off.
What you provide
- An rclone-compatible storage backend (S3, OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, WebDAV, etc.) with valid credentials.
- A passphrase if you want at-rest encryption via rclone crypt.
- Initial user list and any photo libraries you want to import.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you supply the storage?
No — you bring your own backend. We mount it and validate it.
Is the Immich app itself included?
Immich is a separate ElfHosted product. This Wizard pays for the configuration labor.
Can my photos be encrypted at rest on the remote backend?
Yes — rclone crypt can be layered on top of your storage.
What is NOT included?
We do not supply, recommend, or sign you up for third-party indexers, debrid services, IPTV providers, content libraries, or any other external service. You bring your own accounts and content; we apply the configuration you give us.
Is this ongoing managed support?
No. This is a single, one-time configuration session. After hand-off, you own and operate the stack. Routine support questions go through normal ElfHosted Discord support; deeper re-architecture work needs a follow-up Wizard session.
Will you store my credentials?
No. Credentials shared during the session are used only to complete your setup and are not retained afterwards.
