Zurg is the mount layer. It exposes your debrid account as a WebDAV filesystem so any media server — yours, ours, or someone else’s — can scan it as a real library. No media server in this product; just Zurg.

What is Zurg [Standalone]?

Zurg connects to your debrid account and exposes the content you’ve downloaded there as a WebDAV mount. Plex, Jellyfin, Emby, Infuse, Kodi, VLC — any client that can read a filesystem — sees your debrid library as if it were a local disk. No download wait, no storage required, no manual file management.

This is the standalone Zurg product: just the mount layer, no media server included. Use it when you already have a media server somewhere (your home server, another VPS, or an ElfHosted standalone Plex / Jellyfin / Emby) and want to plug your debrid account into it.

The standalone is the cheapest entry point ($19/mo) but it’s only useful if you have somewhere to mount the WebDAV. If you don’t, get a Zurgling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this come with a media server?
No. Zurg [Standalone] is the mount layer only. Bring your own Plex, Jellyfin, Emby, Infuse, or Kodi instance to read the WebDAV mount. If you want a bundled media server, get Zurgling instead.

Do I need a debrid subscription?
Yes, required. Buy it directly from your debrid provider; ElfHosted does not resell debrid accounts.

Can I mount this from a home Plex/Jellyfin?
Yes. The WebDAV endpoint is TLS-terminated and reachable from anywhere — your home server, another VPS, an ElfHosted standalone media server.

How is this different from Decypharr?
Decypharr is the automation-side link in a debrid pipeline (qBittorrent-API shim that lets Sonarr/Radarr push content to your debrid account). Zurg is the media-server-side link (mounts what’s in your debrid account as a filesystem). A full debrid setup uses both: Decypharr to put content into your debrid account, Zurg to expose it. Different layers, both needed in different setups.

Does it work with Debrid Media Manager?
Yes. DMM curates your debrid account; Zurg reflects those changes into the WebDAV mount.

What happens when content gets removed from your debrid account?
Zurg detects broken entries and triggers your provider’s repair flow to fetch a working copy where possible. If the provider can’t repair, the entry is marked as broken in your library.

Zurg [Standalone] is the cheapest way to plug your debrid account into a media server you already run. Just the mount, no server bundled. If you don’t have a media server yet, look at Zurgling instead.
