Description

What is Zurg [Exposed!]?

Zurg [Exposed!] is an add-on that opens your ElfHosted Zurg WebDAV endpoint to direct authentication — replacing SSO with a username/password combination that any WebDAV-capable client can handle.

Who needs this?

Anyone who wants to stream their Real-Debrid library directly to clients that don't support SSO logins:

  • 📱 Infuse on iOS, Apple TV, and Mac
  • 🎬 VLC, Kodi, MX Player on any platform
  • 💻 Native WebDAV mounts on Windows, macOS, and Linux
  • 📺 Smart TV apps that accept WebDAV credentials

If you only stream through Plex, Jellyfin, or Emby (which already integrate with ElfHosted's SSO), you don't need [Exposed!].

Security requirements

You must set a strong password during subscription — your ElfHosted username is automatically used as the WebDAV username, but the password is yours to choose. Treat this credential pair as the only thing standing between the public internet and your debrid library.

Why ElfHosted?

Running Zurg + rclone yourself means exposing port forwarding through your home router, dealing with dynamic DNS, securing the WebDAV endpoint, and accepting that streams compete with your home internet upload bandwidth. ElfHosted's [Exposed!] gives you a stable public URL backed by datacentre bandwidth, with TLS handled automatically — no router config, no certificates, no DDNS.

FAQ

Will streaming via Zurg [Exposed!] count against my Real-Debrid quota?
Yes — every byte you stream through Zurg pulls from your Real-Debrid traffic allowance. ElfHosted doesn't add any quota of its own.

Can I use this with Infuse Pro?
Yes — Infuse Pro fully supports WebDAV with username/password auth, and many users specifically subscribe to Zurg [Exposed!] for Infuse compatibility.

Is the connection encrypted?
Yes — TLS is enforced on the public URL.
