Way back in March 2024, when we started seeing I/O contention on our Ceph network storage, we switched the "heavy hitters" (streamers and aars) from CephFS storage to Ceph block storage, to avoid impacting the CephFS metadata service.

This meant that users couldn't "see" into their aars' config folders anymore, since Ceph block storage can't be shared across pods.

While the migration to block storage helped at the time, it turns out that aars-on-cephfs wasn't the root cause of our I/O contention issues, and now that ElfStorage is gone, and the HDD-based, I/O-blocking nodes are behind us, we've switched the aars back to CephFS storage, meaning..

... you can now see the Aars' config files in FileBrowser again!

This is particularly useful if you want to keep a backup of your aarr at a point in time, or restore it in the event of an SQLite DB corruption.
