Early Access
This app is a brand-new addition to ElfHosted, and is considered beta. It runs, we test it, and your trial lets you prove it fits before you commit, but our support team does not yet have deep experience with it. Expect some trial and error: lean on the upstream documentation, experiment freely, and share what you learn in Discord, where the community and team are figuring these new apps out together. If you need a battle-tested workflow today, our established apps are the safer pick.
What is Housetrained?
Housetrained is an open-source puppy care logger, built on Baby Buddy. Everyone in the house logs what happened, so nobody has to ask “when did he last go out?”, and the timeline shows the patterns that make house training stick.
Key Features
- Potty breaks and accidents: Log each one in a couple of taps.
- Meals and walks: Keep feeding times and walks on the same timeline.
- Reminders: Browser notifications when it’s time for the next break, once you switch them on (they start off, so nothing leaves your instance until you choose).
- Every pet, with a photo: Track more than one dog.
- The whole household: An account for each person, all logging to the same pets.
Why Run Housetrained on ElfHosted?
A log only helps if everyone can reach it, from any phone. ElfHosted keeps Housetrained online, so the walk logged on the school run is there when you get home.
- Managed and maintained: Your instance is provisioned in minutes and kept updated. Sam, our AI helper, answers questions, and our team on Discord helps when Sam can’t.
- Persistent and backed up: Your logs and photos survive restarts and upgrades, with a daily backup.
- Simple subscription: One flat monthly price with a 7-day trial, cancel anytime. Or run it as part of the Flex collection.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I log in?
Housetrained sits behind your ElfHosted login. Its admin account starts with a random password unique to your instance, in ADMIN-PASSWORD.txt in its config folder (open it in FileBrowser). Then create an account for each person in the house.
Is it the same as Baby Buddy?
It’s built on Baby Buddy and works the same way, but tracks puppies instead of babies.
