Jelu

Hosted Jelu: a clean, private reading tracker and personal book log for people who read a lot.

Early Access

This app is a brand-new addition to ElfHosted, and is considered beta. It runs, we test it, and your trial lets you prove it fits before you commit, but our support team does not yet have deep experience with it. Expect some trial and error: lean on the upstream documentation, experiment freely, and share what you learn in Discord, where the community and team are figuring these new apps out together. If you need a battle-tested workflow today, our established apps are the safer pick.

What is Jelu?

Jelu is a reading tracker and personal book database. Log the books you own, want, are reading, and have finished, with ratings, reading dates, and reviews. It pulls in cover art and metadata automatically, keeps your reading history, and gives you a tidy at-a-glance view of your literary life without handing your data to a social network.

Key Features

• Track your whole library: Record owned, to-read, reading, and finished books with dates, ratings, and reviews.
• Automatic metadata: Covers, authors, and details are pulled in automatically as you add books.
• Reading history and stats: See what you read and when, and keep a running log over the years.
• Import your shelves: Bring in your existing reading list rather than starting from scratch.
• Private by default: Your reading life stays yours, not a social feed.

Works With

• Calibre: Pair your reading tracker with a Calibre ebook library.
• Komga: Track your reading alongside a comics and manga server.

Why Run Jelu on ElfHosted?

• One dashboard: Sits alongside the rest of your ElfHosted subscription, no servers to run yourself.
• Persistent and backed up: Your data survives restarts and upgrades.
• Simple subscription: One flat monthly price with a 7-day trial, cancel anytime.

How do I log in to Jelu?
Your Jelu instance sits behind ElfHosted single sign-on, so only you can reach it. Sign in and set up your account on first access.

Yes, Jelu supports importing your books so you do not have to re-enter years of reading by hand.

Does Jelu store my books, or just track them?
Jelu tracks your reading, the metadata, ratings, and history. For the ebook files themselves, pair it with Calibre.
