What is Mirumoji?

Mirumoji is a Japanese immersion toolkit. Upload a video with Japanese subtitles and every word becomes clickable: readings, meanings, kanji breakdowns, stroke order, pronunciation audio and example sentences, right beside the player. Save the lines that matter as clips and export them straight into Anki.

Do I need subtitles?
Yes. Mirumoji works from Japanese subtitle files you upload alongside your video. Automatic subtitle generation needs your own Modal account, added through ElfBot.

How do I log in?
Mirumoji sits behind your ElfHosted login, with no separate password to remember.

What video formats work?
MP4 files with H.264 video and AAC audio, up to 2 GB each. Mirumoji plays them straight in your browser. Clips are up to 60 seconds, and uploads, clips and exports stay until you delete them.
