What is grocy?

grocy is an open-source grocery and household manager, billed by its authors as "ERP beyond your fridge". Log what you buy and grocy tracks the stock and the best-before dates, adds things to the shopping list when you run low, and shows which recipes you can cook from what's already in the cupboard. It looks after the rest of the house too: chores, batteries, and the manuals for your appliances.

How do I log in?
grocy sits behind your ElfHosted login and signs you in as that account automatically, so there's no separate grocy password to remember.

Can I use it on my phone?
Yes, in your phone's browser, camera barcode scanning included. Mobile apps and integrations that connect with a grocy API key (such as Home Assistant) don't work in this version, because your instance sits behind your ElfHosted login.

Can I track what things cost?
Yes. Record a price when you buy something, and grocy works out the value of your stock and what a recipe costs to cook.
