What is ArchiveBox?

ArchiveBox takes a list of URLs and saves complete, browsable snapshots of each one: the original HTML, a readable article view, a full-page screenshot, a PDF, and more. It is the antidote to link rot, dead bookmarks, and articles that vanish behind paywalls or redesigns. Feed it links one at a time, in bulk, or from your browser history and bookmarks.

How do I log in to ArchiveBox?
ArchiveBox is served publicly (so you can share individual snapshots if you choose) with its own login. Sign in with username admin and password changemeelfie, then change the password immediately from the admin panel.

Where are my archives stored?
On your own rclone storage remote. Attach a remote named for ArchiveBox and your snapshots are written there, so the archive size is limited only by your storage. See the ElfHosted rclone documentation.

Can I import my existing bookmarks?
Yes, export your browser bookmarks or history and import the list into ArchiveBox to snapshot everything at once.
