Managed MediaManager hosting for movies and TV automation in one modern app: discovery, requests, and library organisation together.
Hosted MediaManager: managed movie and TV automation for people who would rather run one modern app than a fleet of *arrs.
Early Access
This app is a brand-new addition to ElfHosted, and is considered beta. It runs, we test it, and your trial lets you prove it fits before you commit, but our support team does not yet have deep experience with it. Expect some trial and error: lean on the upstream documentation, experiment freely, and share what you learn in Discord, where the community and team are figuring these new apps out together. If you need a battle-tested workflow today, our established apps are the safer pick.
What is MediaManager?
MediaManager is a modern successor to the fragmented *arr stack: instead of running Radarr for movies and Sonarr for TV, you manage, discover, and automate both from a single interface. It pulls metadata from TMDB and TVDB, supports multiple users with per-user requests, and talks to the same indexers and download clients you already use.
MediaManager does not host, index, or provide any content. It orchestrates the indexers and download clients you configure and are authorised to use; you are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you.
Key Features
- Movies and TV in one app: A shared interface, request queue, and library view instead of two separate services.
- Multi-user requests: Household members search, request, and track from their own accounts.
- TMDB and TVDB metadata: Rich discovery and search out of the box.
- Standard pipeline: Prowlarr (or Jackett) for indexers, qBittorrent-compatible download clients, quality profiles for grabs.
- Pre-wired on ElfHosted: Your instance arrives with Prowlarr and Decypharr already configured, and libraries pointed at your storage.
- Editable config: Advanced options live in a readable
config.tomlyou can tweak via FileBrowser.
MediaManager in Your Stack
On ElfHosted, MediaManager lands ready to use: Prowlarr is pre-wired with your API key (if it is in your subscription), Decypharr is pre-configured as a qBittorrent-compatible download client for debrid-backed downloads, and movie and TV libraries point at your storage paths, ready for Plex, Jellyfin, or Emby to serve. Search for a title, pick a quality profile, and the pipeline does the rest.
Why Run MediaManager on ElfHosted?
The whole point of consolidating your stack is less plumbing, and ElfHosted removes the rest of it: pre-wired integrations, managed updates, and storage that is already mounted where MediaManager expects it.
- Managed access and support: Provisioned in minutes with working defaults, with humans on Discord when you need them.
- Plays well with other ElfHosted apps: Prowlarr, Decypharr, and your media server are integrated from the first boot.
- Persistent config: Users, requests, and settings survive restarts and upgrades.
- Simple subscription: One flat monthly price with a 7-day trial, cancel anytime.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does MediaManager include any movies or shows?
No. It automates and organises using the indexers and download clients you configure; it never hosts or provides content.
How do I log in?
MediaManager manages its own accounts. Register with the same email address you use for your ElfHosted account and you automatically receive administrator rights; then invite the rest of the household.
Does it replace Radarr and Sonarr?
That is the idea: one app covering both movies and TV. Plenty of customers run it alongside their existing *arrs first and migrate once they are comfortable.
How much setup is involved on ElfHosted?
Very little. Indexers, download client, and library paths are pre-configured; you create your account, request your first title, and point your media server at the library folders.
