What is the Kometa Wizard?
A one-time, white-glove configuration of Kometa on your existing ElfHosted Plex stack. You tell us what collections and overlays you want; an ElfVenger writes the YAML, applies it, and validates the result against your library. After hand-off, the YAML is yours to edit going forward.
What we'll configure (from your direction)
- 🧩 The Kometa collections you specify (genres, awards, decades, franchises, custom lists).
- 🖼️ Overlays you choose — resolution, audio codec, ratings, edition badges, etc.
- 📚 Smart libraries and metadata refresh schedules per your preferences.
- 🔑 Optional integrations using your own accounts (TMDb, Trakt, MDBList, IMDb).
- 🧪 Validated against your live Plex library before hand-off.
What you provide
- The list of collections, overlays, and lists you want.
- API keys / accounts for any optional integrations (TMDb, Trakt, MDBList, etc.).
- Any existing YAML you want extended or fixed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a Plex Pass?
Yes — hosted Plex on ElfHosted requires PlexPass on your account. Kometa requires Plex to function.
Is the Kometa app itself included?
Kometa is a separate ElfHosted product. This Wizard pays for the configuration labor.
What is NOT included?
We do not supply, recommend, or sign you up for third-party indexers, debrid services, IPTV providers, content libraries, or any other external service. You bring your own accounts and content; we apply the configuration you give us.
Is this ongoing managed support?
No. This is a single, one-time configuration session. After hand-off, you own and operate the stack. Routine support questions go through normal ElfHosted Discord support; deeper re-architecture work needs a follow-up Wizard session.
Will you store my credentials?
No. Credentials shared during the session are used only to complete your setup and are not retained afterwards.
