This app is a brand-new addition to ElfHosted, and is considered beta. It runs, we test it, and your trial lets you prove it fits before you commit, but our support team does not yet have deep experience with it. Expect some trial and error: lean on the upstream documentation, experiment freely, and share what you learn in Discord, where the community and team are figuring these new apps out together. What is Blinko?

Blinko is a note app built around quick capture. A flash note is one line you type and forget about; a full note is the one you sit down and write. Both land in the same searchable pile, tagged however you like, and Blinko will chat with your notes if you bring an AI key of your own.

How do I log in?
Blinko sits behind your ElfHosted login. On your first visit, create your Blinko account: the first account becomes the superadmin, and sign-ups close behind it.

Can I use it on my phone?
Yes, in your phone's browser, where it installs as a web app. The Blinko mobile app, public share links and the RSS output cannot reach your instance in this version, because the whole thing sits behind your ElfHosted login. Blinko has endpoints that fetch any address they are handed, and leaving those open to the internet is not a trade we will make.

Does it need a database?
It uses PostgreSQL, which runs inside your instance. We look after it, and its nightly dump is part of your backup.
