Ombi lets your Plex, Emby, or Jellyfin users request movies and TV shows themselves — no more chasing you on WhatsApp to add something.
What is Ombi?
Ombi is a self-hosted media request portal that gives your shared media server users a simple interface to request movies, TV series, and music — which then routes automatically to your Sonarr, Radarr, or Lidarr for download. No more manually queuing requests, and no more users asking you directly.
Note: Ombi is in maintenance mode. For new setups, Seerr (Overseerr/Jellyseerr) is the actively maintained alternative.

- 📊 Request history — track what was requested, by whom, and when it was fulfilled
Ombi in Your Media Stack
- 📺 Plex / Jellyfin / Emby — users log in with their existing media server account
- 📡 Sonarr / Radarr — approved requests route directly to your download automation
- 🔄 Seerr — the modern alternative; consider migrating if starting fresh
Why ElfHosted?
Ombi's most common self-hosting issue is its SQLite database corrupting during upgrades — users report losing all request history and user accounts after a version bump. The fix is manual: restoring from a backup or running SQLite repair commands before the app starts. ElfHosted handles upgrade sequencing and keeps backups of your Ombi data, so upgrades don't mean data loss.
- 🔒 SSO included — Plex/Jellyfin login pre-configured
- 🛡️ Safe upgrades — database backups before version bumps
- 🚀 No Docker Compose — no port mapping or volume mount setup
