Meet Seerr

Seerr is the request manager for Plex, Jellyfin and Emby. Your family or friends get a clean discovery page where they can see what's already in the library, search for something new and ask for it. You decide what gets approved, and Seerr passes approved requests to Sonarr for TV or Radarr for movies. Learn more on the official Seerr website: docs.seerr.dev.

It's the active continuation of Overseerr and Jellyseerr, merged into one codebase that treats all three media servers equally. If you're coming from either of those, there's an upstream migration guide to carry your setup across.

This product is Seerr on its own. ElfHosted runs it, updates it and keeps it online, and you connect it to the media server and Arrs in your ElfHosted stack.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a media server as well?
Yes. Seerr manages requests for a library, so it needs Plex, Jellyfin or Emby to look at, plus Sonarr and Radarr (or SeerrBridge) to act on approved requests.

I used Overseerr or Jellyseerr. What changes?
Both have been retired from our catalogue in favour of Seerr. Swap the old hostname for seerr (the port is still 5055), and follow the migration notes in our docs to bring your config across.

Can I control who gets to request what?
Yes. Each user has their own permissions, request quota and auto-approval settings, so you can let trusted users through and review guests yourself.

Will people get told when something's ready?
Seerr supports several notification agents, so you can let users know when requests are approved or available.

Does Seerr download anything itself?
No. It records and approves requests, then hands them to Sonarr, Radarr or SeerrBridge. Use it only for media you have the rights to access.
