Description

Your own RSS-Bridge instance: the sites that killed their feeds, put back into your reader.

Early Access

This app is a brand-new addition to ElfHosted, and is considered beta. It runs, we test it, and your trial lets you prove it fits before you commit, but our support team does not yet have deep experience with it. Expect some trial and error: lean on the upstream documentation, experiment freely, and share what you learn in Discord, where the community and team are figuring these new apps out together. If you need a battle-tested workflow today, our established apps are the safer pick.

What is RSS-Bridge?

RSS-Bridge makes feeds for websites that do not publish one. Pick the bridge for the site, fill in the account name, tag or search you want to watch, and it hands you a feed address. Hundreds of bridges ship with it, covering news sites, forums, shops, video channels and a long tail of places nobody else bothered with.

Key Features

  • Hundreds of bridges: A long list of sites, each with its own options.
  • Output formats: Atom, RSS, JSON, or a plain HTML page you can read in the browser.
  • Per-bridge options: Narrow a feed to one section, tag or search term.
  • Nothing to sign up for: No accounts, no keys, no setup before the first feed.
  • Cached results: Repeat requests are served from cache, which is gentler on the site you are reading.

Why Run RSS-Bridge on ElfHosted?

A bridge has to be awake when your reader goes looking, which is usually every fifteen minutes, all night. ElfHosted keeps it running and updated so the feeds keep arriving.

  • Managed and maintained: Your instance is provisioned in minutes, kept updated, and backed by friendly humans on Discord.
  • One dashboard: Sits alongside the rest of your ElfHosted subscription, no servers to run yourself.
  • Persistent and backed up: Your data survives restarts and upgrades, with a daily backup.
  • Simple subscription: One flat monthly price with a 7-day trial, cancel anytime.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I log in?
RSS-Bridge sits behind your ElfHosted login, and the feeds it generates are behind it too. There is no separate password to remember.

Which readers can use these feeds?
The feed readers you run on ElfHosted. FreshRSS, Miniflux and Fusion all reach your bridge directly over our internal network, without a login in the way, and our docs give you the exact address to paste in. This is the intended pairing, and a good reason to run your reader here too.

Can a reader outside ElfHosted use it?
Not in this version. A desktop or phone reader elsewhere on the internet cannot get past your ElfHosted login, and RSS-Bridge has no token of its own to let it through.

Does it send email?
No. RSS-Bridge sends no mail and keeps no accounts.
